Muslim Forum Unofficial Rules
A few years back, we probably would not have known what a Muslim forum is, especially in Eastern countries. But today the internet has made it easier for everyone to even have communities online. Forums for Muslims are communities on the internet, which allow Muslims to speak with each other, about whatever topics they want.
Topics vary of course, from brotherhood in Islam and conversion to the religion to sports and hobbies. Though these sites are not restricted to one area like a particular city or country, some may have such sites. For example, groups of Muslims have some forums in England. This enables them to discuss local events, politics and festivals among the Muslim community.
This is a great way to delve into the minds and hearts of Muslims. Most forums of course will require an individual to become a member before using it. On these forums, Muslim members may post articles and communicate their views with each other. While even non-Muslims post topics on forums, most topics will be related to the Muslim community and culture.
Sometimes we see some bold topics discussed on such forums. There are some dynamite topics, which touch the comparison of Islam with other religions, and how Islam has influenced cultures across the world. Though non-Muslims are encouraged to join forums, they are only allowed if they behave.
Non-Muslims often ask questions about Islam and the teachings of the religion on a Muslim forum. But this is no place for people who want to speak ill of Islam, for they will probably be banned. Forums are free to use, and only those who want to write may register on such communities.
However, this really is an ideal place for wannabe Muslims, who can post all their queries about Islam. There is no guarantee that these questions will be answered by scholars, however, most of them will be answered intelligently by staunch believers. There has been debate over the expression of thought in such forums, and some people have criticized Muslims for not allowing freedom of speech to others.
There are a few topics that are closely monitored by the management of these Muslim forums. Islam followers have their fare share of idealistic conflicts, debates about the existence of God, and the source of Islamic guidance. And the management usually tries to limit the discussions, to avoid the danger of falling out of the boundaries of morality and good behavior.
Some unwritten rules must be respected while using forums for Muslims. All users must refrain from using obscene language, and must also always treat the other users with respect. Users must realize that people of all ages are members, and they should not call anyone names particularly.
Obviously, even if people are allowed to voice their views, they cannot become overtly slanderous and rude. While other religions and people belonging to such religions demand respect, so it is with Muslims. So be sure to maintain a decent profile on your favorite Muslim forum, if you want to continue using it for a long time.
